As we enter into May, we’re on the ‘stretch run’ here at the Bible Institute. Students will be busy with taking tests and submitting term papers. It is always a stressful time!
Did you know that in the two years they are at Bear Valley they will take a total of 48 classes? In addition, they will have several “mini seminars” and will go on four evangelistic campaigns. The program here is intensive, but effective. After 50+ years of training preachers, we’ve managed to put together a curriculum that trains these men well.
We also have a superb women’s program. Student wives (and other interested women) have two classes offered to them each quarter. They will learn things like how to be evangelistic and being a preacher’s wife. Of course, they’ll get several Bible classes as well!
Our extension program continues to go forward at an exciting pace. We presently have 23 International Schools, training over 350 men. Just a reminder: these are full time schools with live teachers. Our goal is always to work ourselves out of a job. Once these men graduate, they are fully capable of carrying on the work without us. This is what we want! So far, it is working. Churches are being planted, and churches are growing. We thank God for the great work our graduates are doing.
Back in Denver, we are looking to May 22nd. That is when we will graduate 24 students. We are excited to think about the great work these graduates will do for the Lord in the years to come.
Meanwhile, we are excited about the start of a new school year (August 8). We presently have a large number of men who are planning on attending, and there are several others who are “on the fence,” trying to decide whether to make this important, life-changing decision. Please pray for them. We need good, sound, well- trained preachers.
As always, we are so very grateful for your interest in preacher training and the Bear Valley Bible Institute. May God richly bless you!
